- Just What I Like To See -

So far this evening we've received somewhere around 6 inches of snow.
I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT IT
and.. If it wasn't 2:17 in the am I'd probably be outside running around.
Morning come quickly! Please!

P.s. Nights like this remind me of how much trouble I'd be in if my car didn't have [working] 4-wheel drive. I about got stuck forever trying to leave the neighboring parking lot before it decided to kick in. COOL.

- Impatient -

When I decide I want a hair cut- I don't wait.
I CAN'T wait- I just have to go get one! So that's what I did yesterday.

Got in my car.
Drove
to Great Clips.
Paid some weirdo girl
to make my hair go from

this:

to
this:

REALLY SHORT and trimmed up the sides (ew).

I cried about it yesterday
and was .01 ridiculous points short of dropping out of school
and quitting my job
so I'd never have to go into public again. Ha.

I'm okay with it now, it'll grow out eventually.

- Aint Nothin To It Gansta Rap Made Me Do It -

Exercising feels so good. My roommates and I ran a few miles on the treadmills last night- which is something I haven't done in a LONG time. The time spent listening to music and racing my heart was enjoyable. I think I'll make this a habit- A) because I just like it B) because I've decided it's the only way to get a night of decent sleep C) because though I'm employed at a gym, I don't always get a full workout done and I would like to lose 5-10 lbs. YAY.

- A Plus -

Spending time with people I haven't seen forever is the GREATEST!!

WEEKEND:

A) Megan and I went to Linda's bridal shower. I'm REALLY glad and grateful someone took my shift at work so I could go down for it. Linda is the best, I hope she has the happiest of marriages because she deserves no less.

(^ Linda, Kristin, Me, and Megan at Linda's bridal shower)

B) After the bridal shower Kristin, Megan, Angie, and I spent a bit of time together. (: Even though all we ever talk about, everytime we get together, is how bad the summer sucked- the conversation and jokes never grow old!

(^ Me, Kristin, Megan, and Angie in Provo later that night)

C) Tomas is back! And even though we live more than an hour apart, I like it better when he's home because we can be best friends forever and go to Empire for lunch (like we did Saturday). Best of times!

- Struggle -

I promise I would post more if I had more to post about. My life is currently on repeat mode as far as schedule and events are concerned. I really wish I could attend Coachella or the Sasquatch festival this year. I know I won't be able to afford Coachella.. Maybe by the time Sasquatch comes around I'll be financially prepared. I hope so!!

- Tis The Season To Be Married -

The past week I've learned about the oddest assortment of marriages involving old high school classmates, new friends, and strangers. Quirky. To all the couples that have recently gotten married/ are going to get married soon-

Happy marriage to you!

Speaking of marriage- I'm going to a bridal shower tomorrow. The bridal shower of a beautiful, funny, happy, young woman named Linda. Weird is that her bridal shower invite begs for gifts either 'naughty or nice'..to give their wedding night some 'spice'. LOL. Surprising enough, I chose to gift give from the 'naughty' category- and I've been laughing about my present selection all day. If she doesn't like it, or disowns me as a friend because of it- at least I had fun picking it out. HA. Nervous.

P.s. Carli Bahm- I CAN'T wait until you get married- because there are items at the Persian Peacock with your name written ALLLLLL over them.

- 'Hope and Delusion in Health Care' -

I read THIS article today. It would have been perfect for my English 2010 paper last semester, too bad it didn't come out sooner. The website that led me to the article is HERE.

Another headline on that page mentioned mammograms and I guess the government no longer thinks they're important- figure that.

- Please No -

So, unless I find a quantitative intensive class that I have all the prerequisites for and that is during the few hours between my classes and work - then I have to remain in my math 2020 class. It's official title is "Introduction to Logic and Geometry" but.. it's a class about teaching math to children. It's a class for elementary ed majors- sounds fun- blocks, shapes, paper cut outs. Nope, just a normal miserable math class. An assignment due every class period, tests every few weeks, quiz's.. the only difference is that the professor previously taught 8th grade and still talks to students like they're about to enter the 9th.

I'm kind of okay with experiencing this accidental class entry and miserable first day, because it has helped me to realize that I don't want to be a teacher and that I should never become a teacher. Will I survive if I stay in the class? No. Idea of what class to take- please come to me.
