- Cross My Heart -

Levi Ball. I've mentioned Levi in a few earlier blogs, but never devoted more than a paragraph to this person who is so dear to me. . So I'm taking this opportunity to do that very thing.

Like I said in my second blog post ever, Levi and I met in Ms. Beans creative writing class. Blah blah.. And we've been through a lot since then. We've [basically] been dating for a little less than a year and in that time we've had a fair amount of wonderful experiences that I am very thankful for, and will hopefully remember for a longer period than I do most things.

Starting tomorrow, Levi's going on a pre-mission road trip with his raw roommates and beginning of next week- I take off towards Washington for a miserable selling experience. I will be there all summer and Levi leaves on his mission to California on May 27. So, today was the last time we could be together for two years. And that's just.. A really sad story. But I'd have to say- there a few other ways I'd rather spend our last moments together than how we did.

At around 3:30 yesterday, Elicia and I arrived in Provo. As soon as we got there, we (Levi, Me, Elicia, and Matt) made a trip to UVU to look for Levi's backpack and pick up Mike. After doing that, we ate Beto's (best ham breakfast burrito I ever had) and tripped to Boondocks to do batting cages ( for those who don't know- I love batting cages).

My first batting cage attempt was at very fast softball because I told Levi I would try that out if he was doing fast baseball. I watched Levi do great in his cage then went to bat. After two hits, my hand was already rattled to death by the mercilessly hard and fast balls. I didn't dare hit another of that speed, so Levi hopped in and tried to finish them out. After a few hits, he too was hand hurt. Leish and I both did a round of slow softball and even though it took us a while to convince Elicia to play, I think she quite enjoyed it. :)

We drove back to Levi's apartment after Boondocks then met up with a few other couples (one of the girls was a total whore that wanted Levi despite her own date) at Trafalga- another Boondocks type place. There, we played in the arcade (Levi and I attained 375 -or something- tickets. Which resulted in two matching chucky doll key chains, a sticky hand for Levi and an 'Angel' tiara for me- Leish and I got matching ones). We also played mini golf, took photo booth pictures, ate dippin dots, and raced go carts. What an adventure!

The rest of the night consisted of eating Wendy's and preparing Levi for his final presentation in English the next morning. I didn't really help with this, but I tried and sadly ended up crashing on the couch at around 2:00 am. Then was kindly picked up and carried to a bed to sleep.

This morning started early for Levi because he had his presentation. He left around 8:45, I think, and I got up with him for a tiny bit but went back to sleep until he was home again at 10:something.

Once everyone was awake, Levi made us the most delicious cinnamon pancakes ever. Mmm they were soo good. Sadly though, what came next was something not so sweet.. the farewells. Which were horrible, but worse because we had to leave so much earlier than I wished because Leish and I had a history of photography final at 3:30. Which we couldn't be late for. So we had to leave Levi's by 1:00 to make sure we had enough time to make it back to Logan. Unfortunate for us, and exactly my luck- MY TEACHER DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP FOR CLASS AND FINAL WAS CANCELLED. AH. SO FRUSTRATING.

Anyways.. It was the saddest thing leaving Levi's apartment knowing that would be the last time I could see him for two years. I don't want to be sad, I don't want to worry about the future and I always ask myself why the heck I get myself into these kinds of situations? But I know the answer. Because when you adore someone as much as I adore Levi, the hurt seems worth it. And it is.

:)

Ha.

LEVI I MISS YOU

- Tricky Tricky -

Officially- Andee just read me the funniest blog in the whole universe. I can't put a link to it, because it was written by a woman with no dignity. But I hope you all, by chance.. or luck, stumble upon it at some point in your lives and-- read it.

Royksopp released an album titled Junior. It's AWESOME. And I was just listening to the song Tricky Tricky, when I was reminded that today- I drove to Kinko's, went inside, came back out, glanced at the back of my Ford Explorer on my way to the drivers side door and noticed there was a HUGE A- BLUE 'Y' STICKER. Yup. Levi had stuck a BYU sticker on my automobile. What a fool. I'm SO in a huff. But I still think he's amazing, wonderful, sweetie, etc. The End.

PS. I always think of things I wonder, and I always think to myself that I should start carrying around a tiny handy dandy notebook so I can write them down, but then I just never do. So I've officially decided- if I ever think of things now.. I'm just going to start putting them at the end of my blogs. ok? OK.

1. I wonder if Chinese people get let down when they come to America, buy a souvenir, and turn it over to find it says 'MADE IN CHINA' on the bottom.

- The Power Is On -

This was the picture I ended up blowing up and turning in for surprisingly good reviews. HUGE RELIEF.

Today was my last day at CURVES. :) . For those of you who know me well, you know this is a pretty big deal and probably the best news of the year, though, there are some pretty dang great ladies there and I'll miss them all. Examples- ready for this? - Dorie, Ronda, Nancy, Marilyn, Mary, Jolene, Julie, Teresa, Genial, Annette, Wendy, Kristi, Marlene, Leila, Vicky, Susan, Shirley, Tracy, Paige, Tiffany and Carol, Carolyn, Lisa, Odean, Julie, Carrie, Jennifer, Kristi, and I could just go on and on...
What a great bunch.

I'm super glad things are winding down. There's no more 2d design, after midnight there will be no more computer science, there is-basically- no more history of photography, there is no more Curves, oh it feels great.

So. My 2d design teacher just puts all of my ideas through a shredder. It's not very nice.. And this is how I feel.

- But Home Is Nowhere -

Today I listened to A.F.I. for the first time in a long while. The only album I have is Sing The Sorrow and when the song came on ..But Home Is Nowhere, I was reminded of the seriously beautiful poetry within it:

"We held hands on the last night on earth. Our mouths filled with dust. we kissed in the fields and under trees, screaming like dogs, bleeding dark into the leaves. It was empty on the edge of the town, but we knew everyone floated along the bottom of the river. So we walked through the waste where the road curved into the sea and the shattered seasons lay, and the bitter smell of burning was on you like a disease. In our cancer of passion, you said, "Death is a midnight runner."
The sky had come crashing down like the news of an intimate suicide. We picked up the shards and formed them into shapes of stars that wore like an antique wedding dress. The echoes of the past broke the hearts of the unborn, as the Ferris wheel silently slowed to a stop. A few insects skittered away in hopes of a better pastime. I kissed you at the apex of the maelstrom and asked if you would accompany me in a quick fall; but you made me realize that my ticket wasn't good for two. I rode alone.
You said, "The cinders are falling like snow." There is poetry in despair, and we sang with unrivaled beauty, bitter elegies of savagery and eloquence, of blue and grey. Strange, we ran down desperate streets and carved our names in the flesh of the city. The sun has stagnated somewhere beyond the rim of the horizon, and darkness is a mystery of curves and lines. Still, we lay under the emptiness and drifted slowly outward; and somewhere in the wilderness we found salvation scratched into the earth like a message.

- Love Like Poetry -

"Tear the roof off my life
and gut out my insides.
Hold me closer, hold me closer"

Sometimes I wish we lived in the world of Ash Ketchum. .. Where all that matters is becoming a Pokemon master of the universe by battling and winning gym badges.

This week has been one from.. the "H" word. I got lashed upon by a teacher (and it's going to happen again tomorrow because the dang museum I have to go to is only open from 10:00-5:00 and I couldn't make it in the last 48 hours), I pulled an all nighter to get my painting done. I was let down by my 'best friend', I failed a Computer Science test, I miserably and embarrassingly bombed my presentation in History of Photography- so bad I want to hide under my covers when I look at my class materials, I got in/ am in a fuster (not a real word) with someone who is really important to me, I couldn't make it to the Tax Tea Party, I won't be able to make it to GIRLTALK tomorrow at the U, and I could keep going.. WHY DOESN'T THE EARTHQUAKE JUST HAPPEN RIGHT NOW.. MAYBE IT'LL IMPROVE MY LIFE. < < < < That's a joke. I never EVER want that earthquake to happen!.. But point is, I just feel so drudged down.

I'm thankful for Rich and his 'happy thoughts' wink of encouragement that I received today, and for Mr. Busk. and his Beatles cover band. Without them, today would have been an awful amount more windy than it was already.

- Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree -

i got slashed open and left to bleed by my 2d design teacher. .. not really but almost.

I don't really know what to say about it except, she's upset my assignment was one day late (technically) and that I haven't been in class since March 24th. Which is kind of my fault, but mostly not, we didn't have class all last week because she went on vacation.

- For the full story read Megans blog post below -

"Today Mandy and I went to our 2D design class. It's been a couple weeks since we've been there. We missed critique day, which is the most important day to be in class. Not only does that mean that we turn in our projects late, but we missed the introduction of the next project. Then our teacher was out of town for a week, so we couldn't turn in our assignments immediately after. Mandy e-mailed the teacher to see what the assignment was, and got no response. The teacher didn't post it on blackboard.

Needless to say, we were not well prepared for class today. Not only that, but we got a lecture for showing up late. It was obvious to the whole class that the teacher was in a bad mood. We had to sign a list for the order in which we would go to the teacher and talk about our thumbnails for our next project. We didn't have thumbnails. We didn't even know what the project was. Not too mention, we had to turn in our project that was due almost two weeks ago (technically, only one class ago). I was terrified for my name to be called. I was at the end of the list. Mandy didn't even put her name on. Hah.

Finally when my name was called, I went up, trembling a little, and basically I just told her I had this project to turn in and I didn't have thumbnails to show. She said, "ok, just know I'll have to mark it late, and you should have thumbnails by Thursday."
...ok? No yelling? No bad looks? ... ok. Great.

So I sat down, and we waited for Mandy's turn. Mandy went up and I sat at the table and tried to pretend I wasn't listening. I vaguely heard the teacher saying, "You haven't even been here since March 24th ..." and "I'm going to have to mark it off at LEAST 50% because it's so late.."

Haha, Mandy and I have slacked off basically equally amount and she got it soooo much harsher than me. It's really sad, but it's also really, really, really funny. Sorry Mandy.

So then we left and spent the next 1/2 hour grumbling and insulting our teacher.

Good, good times."

Gotta love this! ^

- Play Your Part (Pt.1) -

I recently have learned that more than 3 people read my blog and I've been told -in a round about way- that I am leaning toward insane and am without the education and/or right to post and/or have the political opinions that I do.

My dearest apologies to those who feel one is needed.

- Classic Cars -

I ordered a swimming suit today online.. pretty excited about that. My computer can't find Facebook. :(

When I was shopping at the grocery store, I looked to my left and saw a lady who looked exactly like Maja, from The Sounds, except.. she was a grandma version. It was weird.

Then, on my way home from the store, I saw a guy and a girl walking together down the side of the street, it was everything I could do not to yell out my window- "HOLD HANDS!".

- Oklahoma -

I can't STAND my Political Science teacher. He's such a one-sided-lame-face.

I don't like him, and one day I'll let him know.

PS. All day I've been drinking partially rotted milk, ew. And on the way back from work I saw a birdie war between a grandma and a small punk. Laughed my face off all the way home.

- Throw Down -

Today, at my job, the ladies told me about the different April Fools Day goofs they'd played, or were played on them. I heard about drawers being taped shut, clocks being changed, impossible workload requests at jobs, fake tattoos, etc. and I thought to myself "Okay, these are some kind of cool ideas..".
BUT THEN- one of the members said that she'd told her elementary class that they had to go to the office and get their kindergarten shots again. All I can say to that is.. 'LOL'. That is freakin' hilarious. She said most of her class started bawling (even at this age, that is probably what I would of done too), with the exception of one girl who stood up and said "I'll go first, let's get this over with". HA. Super dang awesome.

After researching about the holiday on the internet this morning and then hearing other peoples stories at work, I realize I did not fulfill my quest to successfully celebrate this holiday, like I thought I wanted to. There is so much more I could have done.. and I'm sad this is all I did..

1) Told Megan Bell her favorite band was coming to concert April 8th in Salt Lake. (Sorry to fire-breathe your world Megan.. )

2) Told Carli Bahm a dirty lie.. ha ha.. but she didn't believe me at all because she knows me too well. (Bummer.. )

3) Wiped (with a tissue- MEGAN BELL - because touching toilet seats isn't my thing) Vaseline on Megan Kings toilet seat. And about that- she never said anything and now I'm curious as to which of the following is true:

A) She didn't notice.
B) She liked it.
C) She already hates me.. so she just didn't say anything. *
D) She's like those people on the East coast who crouch, instead of actually sit on the toilet seat.

4) Stomped on a slush puddle and got Megan and Andee all wet. (Spontaneous!)
-Click HERE for Megan's extended version of this event.

5) Told my parents to call my government teacher, Mr. Lyons, because he wanted to speak to them and gave them the number to the zoo. JUST KIDDING. ANDEE DID THAT. But it's such a good idea I just had to add it to my list. Plus I love 90210, and stealing other peoples stories reminds me of it. :)

6) Skipped some of my classes.. Oh wait, Ha.

The End.

PS. Sometimes I survive epic battles. AWESOME.

*Probable. But, Megan King, please know it was all in good fun.

----------------------------------Megan Bell's Post About The Day---------------------------------------------------------------

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Yes, I am pleased with myself.

Today, Mandy, Andee, and I had just left our Poli Sci class and were heading into the library. Mandy jumped into a puddle of slush, which then sprayed all over mine and Andee's pants. As Andee and I screamed our displeasure, I saw the wheels turning on Mandy's face as she realized once again that it was April Fool's day, and she did not have to take the blame. She yelled, "April Fools!" and I muttered, "How convenient..."

I'll let Mandy tell you the rest of the story.

My bosses just asked me to make a 36 by 24 inch banner that says "Married, but still looking" complete with phone number and all. There was talk of someone's back windshield ... I made the banner, and gave it to them. No questions asked. I sure hope the victim can't trace it back to me ... :)

- Like It Ar Not -

Weirdest thing happened just now, I was chased into the library by a maddened Megan Bell throwing snowballs.

Attack number one..
Hit on the arm, cheap shot, didn't hurt.

Attack number two..
Hit on the head, don't remember my thoughts there.

Attack number three..
Occurs while diving through the library entrance and yelling "Letmeinletmein!"..
Hit on the back of the neck, surprisingly good shot, didn't hurt, fell to the floor.. laughing of course.

It's only noon and I can tell this is going to be a good day :)

PS
It's April Fools. ... and I feel, so far, I've been successfully celebrating this marvelous holiday.
