- I Remember! -

Took me long enough to figure out what this childhood memory was called! I'm thankful for Google, helped me out a ton!

"The Little Fox"

Benjamin Rasmussen and I both watched it when we were younger. Did you?

If not, well, lucky that the whole thing (parts 1-7) is all on YouTube.. and now on my blog! (:

Enjoy!

- 37th Annual USU Pow Wow -

It's time to do a phone picture update- TOO EXCITING - I know..

First we'll start off with last nights activities. Macky, Kerri, Krishelle, and I went to the 37th annual USU pow wow. Kickin. I bought this neat0 bag-

SHWEET. The evening was full of hollarin, dancin, and cultural attire! - Kerri found her Native American true love (no picture included, wish I would have gotten one though). And I just really was wishing I was Native American so I could dance the joy. I know this video below is crapsters so I'm sorry. It's the best I could do with my phone.

Next we've got a Curves labeling issue I thought was really funny. I understand if no one else gets the humor. Coming to the end of my second year there and I can't believe I've never noticed this-

^See there's a label on the shelf.

^ Now read the label. HA- how professional sounding.

Here are some REALLY HARD TO SEE/ultra dark pictures from one night when Abigail, Macky, Elicia, Emily, and I went to a bonfire with Cody, Richard, Josh.. whoever else... and TONS of random girls that all want Cody's apartment. Ha. Super fun but the ride was miserable-ish. 11 of us in the back of a pickup? Can't decide if that was a good idea or a death wish.

^Me (Mandy), Elicia, Emily

^Macky, Abigail

^ The car crowd.

^Macky, Me, and Emily around the bonfire.

Last picture for now- My tie-dyed shirt finished product. WHOOPIE. That one is just a super lame update so to make up for it- I found a video on my phone from The Sounds concert during Fall semester so I'll post that up too. Because everyone loves The Sounds- FOREVER.

(I had a video of the transvestite opening artist too (Semi Precious Weapons) but decided I'd spare the world of his freakyness.)

FAREWELL FOR NOW

- El Scorcho -

I never really got into Weezer. Knew a few songs but that's it. Who cares though! I went to a Weezer tribute concert last night at the Lundstrom Center. FUN. Jake Metcalf, Benjamin Rasmussen, and Carli Bahm were all there- and I met a kid named Tyler.-So that was great.

And upon coming home- I sat down and from around 10:00 pm until 2:00 am I spent my time fixing the titles and punctuation issues of the posts from my blogs earlier life. Why didn't I use capitalization? Why did I not put spaces between all the blog titles. It was bugging me so bad it just had to be taken care of. Even if it did take all of my natural disasters class and around 4 hours last night. Ha. Now it's perfect, or close to.

- Zumba -

Macky and I went to Zumba last night.

We are officially participating in the craze.

I'd try to explain what Zumba is but it's nearly impossible. Maybe it's a mix of aerobics and salsa dancing- ? Ha.
GREAT!

And it's one mother of a workout. My quads and hamstrings are still burning and I currently am having a hard time using stairs. Ha. BBBBUUUUTTTTTTTTTTT........ It's okay because I had a successful workout and my hips aren't feeling like a grandma today- like they would if I had gone running! Gotta love that-

- So Cold I Need A Bowl Of Soup To Warm My Toes -

I've decided to remove the automatic music player from my blog. It's REALLY obnoxious A) because you can't turn it up/down/off and B) because it's usually the same song for weeks.. by the time I get it changed- I am so sick of it and never want to hear that song again. SO- goodbye automatic blog music. I'm thinking I'll post a favorite song of the day/week on the left side of the page somewhere. Or the top. Whatever. Just the title, no music. And repeats are allowed because I just REALLY REALLY like some artists/songs.

- Oh My Gosh -

I DELETED MY FACEBOOK

- Maybe I'll Feel Free -

Dear Mandy,
Stop trying to find reasons why you should keep facebook.
Thanks.
Bye.
Love,
Time

(:

I just made the decision - 1 minute ago - to delete my facebook. The thought is scaring me!!! I really want to do it- but I'm around 80% sure it won't end up deleted. WHY? Can't figure that out. Is facebook really so delicious that I can't tear myself from it?

Real friends keep in touch by phone anyways.

Okay- I'll do it.
Decision officially re-made.

FACEBOOK HAS TO GO. Maybe when I get married I'll create a new one so all my high school acquaintances can be invited to my reception. Or something.

This feels good.

- Nothing Better -

than
CRAFT NIGHT
[A+ picture right thur]
Jake and I spent the evening making friendship bracelets for each other (=real friends), while the others made beautiful paintings and drawings of elephants, Mexicans, and dinosaurs.
We lost Koga, David, and Megan around 12:30 - 1:00 am and by 2:30 am Jake, Justin and I found ourselves at Beto's standing in a line way longer than any food joint should have that early in the morning.
Sleep finally came at 3:00 am.
Feels good running wild like children. I never stay up that late anymore, but I'm glad I did because that's what college is about sometimes..
..plus I just really LOVE this group of people.

- I Am The Worst Person Ever -

About my Valentine's Day post-

Yesterday afternoon I received a rather large and unexpected Valentine's Day package from my good friend Levi. Just going to have to say right now that:

I AM THE WORST PERSON EVER.
I DIDN'T SEND HIM ANYTHING.
WHAT. A. JERK. RIGHT?
THAT'S A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF
NOT ON THE SAME PAGE.
I THOUGHT MISSIONARIES DIDN'T DO VALENTINES DAY.
I THOUGHT I DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH VALENTINES.
BUT THAT WASN'T THE CASE.
I HAD DEVELOPED PICTURES TO SEND HIM.
WALMART TOOK FOREVER AND DIDN'T GET THEM DONE OVER
THE WEEKEND.
SO I SENT THEM IN THE MAIL TODAY.

IDIOT. IDIOT. IDIOT.

- Valentine's Day -

Yes, I would really like to have the same blog title as every other female in this world.

See, this is how I figure it works- single people write blogs leading up to/on Valentines Day about how it's A) bitter/unwanted and/or B) better to be alone, and 'taken' people write blogs a few days later about how wonderful life is.

I am not dating anyone therefore- going to add myself to the single group ^ above. I'm thinking this holiday has potential to be just.. a really disastrous/uncomfortable day (depending, of course, on length of relationship, compatibility and knowledge of each others likes). Single or not.

Trying to explain:

What if one member of the pair goes all out and the other- not knowing what that person is going to do- goes with super goofy 4x2 in. paper valentine bought from the seasonal section at Smith's because it's cheap and cheesy. One might feel inadequate and the other- offended or hurt.

Not on the same page = just a bad experience.

So say you try to get on the same page before that day. You both decide on a nice dinner and no gifts. Well, morning comes and one of the two got the other a gift anyways. Well.. What then?
"Oh thanks honey .. I REALLY didn't get you a gift."
HA.

I don't really want to deal with that stuff until I'm with the beautiful man I'm going to spend the rest of my existence with. And I know him so well- I can act valentines appropriate even if my legs, arms, and head were all chopped off.

I'D RATHER BE LOVESICK AND SINGLE.
YAY

- Bet You Never Knew -

It's one of those blogs where you don't know, nor will you ever know the stranger behind it.. but you read it religiously just the same.
It's called the Life In The Big Rainy.
Because of the most recent post on this blog, I have created an iTunes account and have made my first purchase there. First purchase EVER.
Whoa.
Shocking, but true. The song I needed was Home by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. I had never heard it before today, and was impressed.
So.. point is- officially purchased my first song on iTunes.

- Maybe It's A Tradition -

Sometimes I wonder why I would stay up all night so I could ride in the car 30 minutes to the closest Denny's (Tremonton) and have free breakfast at 5:50 A.M. then ride in the car 45 minutes (we missed the exit the first time, ha) to home. Maybe it's tradition, since Elicia, Megan and I went last year also. Free breakfast that early in the morning seems a tiny bit crazy.. I don't usually eat until 9 anyway, at which point I would still be hungry even if I ate at 5:50 in the A.M. Get what I'm saying? Ha.

^ Macky, the roommate one who drove to Denny's.
^Megan Bell closing her eyes to the brightest flash you'd ever see.
^5:00 looking like a huge stoner.
^So cold and icy outsidE!
^ MMMM.

The last time I stayed up for all hours of the night was probably last spring. No doubt I only do it when I have good cause to, and last night that was the case. A) Because I had to be awake long enough to go to Denny's. B) Mackenzie and I beat a level of Katamari Damacy that I've been STUCK ON FOREVER. C) Mackenzie and I baked the pieces out of cookie dough ice cream to see if it would make cookies.. And THAT my friends.. was an event worth while. Ha.

^ Abigail tried to stay up all night but wasn't successful.
^Our little cookie dough morsels. ^Not cooked.^Cooked.
^ The result.
Rock hard wanna-be-cookie chips.

*100% Wouldn't recommend the above activity.

- Finally -

I've FINALLY done something exciting. I feel like it's been so long!!! My life has been soooo boring.

School

Work

School

Work

School

Work

School

Work

That's all I've done for the past too long!

But this weekend, I tie dyed a shirt.
Yes.

My roommates and I have a list of 50 things to do before the semester ends (I can't remember if I've mentioned it before) and that was #45. Carly, Abigail, and Macky dyed their shirts on Thursday (I think) and Megan and I dyed ours Friday before I went to work. It was an easier process than I remember it being but still so fun. My life's been so uneventful until now! I can't even express it. I'm grateful for this shirt dying experience.
(:

- Not Like My Job Is Hard Or Anything.. -

I feel like my work takes advantage of me.

As a 7.25/hour employee (formally a 6.55/hour employee), I get annoyed having to..

wrap massive display Christmas presents over my Thanksgiving break..
create displays and promotions for 3 clubs..
run fliers all over town..
attend the weight management class..
do Curves laundry at my apartment complex..
become CPR certified..
.. while not getting paid for any of it and PAYING for some of it.

Time is too valuable to work for free.

It's cheap of the business to give the employees mandatory tasks to accomplish on their own time, unpaid. And it's even more cheap of the business to drop commissions. Sometimes I can't help but think-

"Why should I work so hard to help this company stay afloat in the economy, when they won't help me do the same?"

My mom pays better and is better to her employees. I just get depressed thinking about it. ):

I've just got to remember I'm there for my evening ladies, not for anything else.
