DAY TWO

We spent our first night with Jarna.

^This is Jarna.

She was my manager over the summer and while we were working in Moses Lake- she just up and decided to move there. I'm still having a hard time understanding why someone would ever do that.. move the Moses Lake that is. But whatever. Ha.

While at Jarna's we enjoyed great company- made a few new friends [Hailey (Jarna's Roommate) and Scooter (real name John the 3rd?)]- and enjoyed good sleep- surprisingly enough [since I slept on a recliner].

In the morning, Jarna made us breakfast [Cream of Wheat] And we were on the road again headed towards Camano Island around 10:30 a.m. And somehow [because we made stops at the Columbia River and Snoqualmie Falls] our 3 hour trip turned into a 6+ hour trip.

^Carly getting rid of all the tumble weed shoved up the front of the car.

^The Columbia River.

Lucky for us [having been blessed so incredibly much on the trip already] the camp attendant at Cama Beach was still there when we arrived at the campground half an hour after the check-in hut had already closed down. We would have been in so much trouble if he wasn't there! He helped us figure out where to go, where to park, and gave us information about the shuttle, cabin, key, and everything else.

He also talked to the shuttle driver about helping us down to our cabin with all our stuff [since the shuttle is the only thing that goes down to the beach]. We were so thankful for that.

^Cama Beach greatness.

After dark we stayed inside the cabin and played Farkle while watching Monsters Inc.
Yes- Monsters Inc.
It was the only way to keep the murder mystery scenarios from consuming our minds. Think about the story- 3 girls going on spring break to a cabin by themselves blah blah blah...
FREAKY.

- Hold Music -

Sometimes I'm just so glad Megan has a blog.

Because yesterday we had a blast of a day off and I don't want to upload pictures or write about it.. and Megan did a great job. SOOOO.. BELOW IS THE EXACT POST. AWESOME!

- Megan's Post From June 20 2009 -

"Today we took a day off. I don't want to get into the nitty gritty details of it all, but the day consisted of popsicles, antique shows, old cars, friends, pictures, towels, insanely cold water, the columbia river, grass, pictures, synchronized swimming, wishing we were wake boarding, sun, music, laughing, splashing, laying, sitting, swimming, and driving. We spent a coupla hours in the Columbia river ( I LOVE the Columbia River), then came home and changed. We went to Roberto's, which is Washington's version of Beto's, then went and saw 'Up'. I was basically the only one of my group that liked it. I liked it a lot, but it also doesn't take much to impress me."

Here's a few pictures:
This is the epitome of our friendship:

This is what cool looks like:

- We Won't Need Legs To Stand -

Tonight, Megan Bell and I snuck through the backyard of a semi-familiar house and sat on their dock on the Columbia River. I took a few pictures there and it was so awesome! They turned out super great.. And we're thinking of developing them tomorrow and dropping them off onto the house owners doorstep. Creepy! Ha.

[For a better written and more filled story of the night read the text below that I stole from Megan's blog. I LOVE COPY AND PASTE.]

- Megan's Post From June 20 2009 -

"Mandy and I have become quite the hoodlums lately.
It started out with our with the idea of getting some good Columbia River pictures ( I LOVE the columbia river!). We went to the city side of the river, took some pictures from a park, but to not much avail. All the lights were on the side we were standing on. We remembered how cool it had looked from the other side, when we had been standing on some girls dock in her backyard.

Along side the Columbia river, are a bunch of giant houses with their back yards going right into the river. They all have their own private docks. It's super cool. So we left Richland, drove round to Pasco, found the house, walked through the backyard, and spent a couple hours sitting on the dock, taking awesome pictures, and pondering the meaning of life. Time well spent, I'd say. Mandy taught me all about exposure and such. You can see a few of Mandy's pictures here, the first and sixth ones are my favorite. We plan to print the pictures out and leave them on the porch of the house, as a thank you.

On another note, have I mentioned that Kennewick has the official worlds most used 7-11? 18 flavors! Yet I still get Pina Colada every time... We made friends with one of the workers, so she gives us buy-one-get-one-free cards. It's great. They also sell official looking metallic slurpee straws for a buck each. They're so cooool. I picked up about 20 of them for souvenirs for the fam. I'll definitely be the favorite daughter/sister when I get home.

This is our last weekend in Tri-Cities. We're moving into a house in Moses Lake on Tuesday. I just can't wait to see how these events unfold. I think Moses Lake will be better for all of us. It better, cause we're all counting on it."

Hey It's me, Mandy, again. These are my pictures from the trip. GANGSTA!

^ BIG DIPPR! .. YA SHEMPI!^BACKYARD WE SNUCK THROUGH^ MY FAVORITE- ESP. BLACK AND WHITE

P.S.Today was our last day selling in the Tri Cities and I'm SO glad about that because we need new area, BAD. This morning I sold 1.5 sets and Levi sent me a bundle of pictures :) those things make me glad too.

Happy Birthday Dad! Everyone yell-"Ya 50!" :)

- You And I Misbehaving -

Usually I'm not really interested in having a social life, and tonight wasn't any different but I was partially forced into going to a pool party so social life did come.

My night went like this:

1) Slurpee run with Megan Bell (like always).
2) Make appearance at pool party in Pasco.
3) Walk through pool party hosts awesome backyard to a dock on the Columbia River with Megan, Angie, Kristin, Courtney, and strangers.. then learn about the rivers current, depth, temperature, death rate, and aquatic life (Sturgens?).
4) Meet a lot of people I had never met.
5) Drive to a different river bank with all those new friends.
6) Golf flaming tennis balls into the Columbia River.

Yeah, 6 was definitely the best part. I got to hit twice. First- I hit the ball of fire into some vegetation and Megan and I had to throw ourselves down a savagely brushy hill to prevent a massive dry grass fire- scratched up my legs pretty good! Second- Totally redeemed myself and made a clear shot into the river.

It was so fun! Not safe, or smart.. but fun! Ha. It was definitely a good experience but at the same time, I am extremely surprised and feel very grateful that there were no wild fires created and that everyone is still alive. Seriously, the last tennis ball we did started a fire that was borderline way out of control. Good thing Megan Bells fight or flight kicked in and she dominated the burning bushes with dirt.

What excitement! Who would have thought that we'd do something so adventurous and rebellious while on our quest to sell Living Scriptures. :)

LOVE IT!

I wish I had pictures.
