I went into Curves a few days ago and the owner pulled me aside. She told me how a previous member had come in looking for me, wanting to know how I was doing.

"She was very anxious to see you.
... There have been a lot of ladies very anxious to see you. "

It feels so good to hear that. The friendships I have with those ladies make my minimum wage job worth it. Lacking a healthy amount of close relationships up here, I lean on them for encouragement as much as than they lean on me. It's really nice, and sometimes I wonder what I would do without them.
