Megan and I did not shower the whole time, we slept in Megan's car all 3 nights, we got ready in a gas station every morning, we razor scootered all across Seattle.. a few times, we were not allowed to "scoot" at the aquarium.. or at the zoo, we didn't eat for almost a whole day when we first got there, due to lack of time and knowledges as to where to eat, we paid a LOT for parking, we were often surrounded by homeless people, and we had pretty much the best time of our lives.

Megan's blog, once again, says way more about our TOTALLY AWEOSME WEEKEND IN SEATTLE than my blog. So, if you aren't satisfied with what I've written then.. you should go there. I thought about putting pictures up here, but then I decided anyone who wants to see the pictures can just look at my Facebook. LOL.

- BELOW IS MEGAN'S EXACT BLOG POST ABOUT THE TRIP -

"This last weekend, Mandy and I found ourselves doing something I've fondly named "extreme tourism". We had an idea of going to Seattle, not really a plan, just of an idea of what we were gonna do there. At one point, Mandy had the idea to bring our scooters along. We eagerly put them in our trunk with the mindset that maybe we'd find time to have a nice little joyride, but it ended up that they were our main transportation. This weekend seriously would not have been possible had we not had our scooters to get us around the entire city of Seattle. We basically just parked the car in the morning, let our scooters take us from the harbor tour cruise to the pikes place farmers market to the aquarium, all throughout the city. Then we'd find our car, find a place to park, and sleep in it for the night. It was awesome to just scoot past all the tourists and locals at full speed. A couple people made fun of us, most people pointed and stared, and a lot of people mentioned as we passed that they were a really good idea. And they WERE. They got us where we needed to go, and when we went inside a building, we could just fold them up and carry them ... sometimes.

AND NOW I have for you a play by play account of the whole vacation.

It started out on Friday morning at 6:00 a.m. when Mandy popped out of bed in excitement ... I've seriously NEVER seen her get up so quickly. At 8:30 we were out the door, in the car, and ready to go. We drove 2 hours towards Seattle and then got off the exit for 'Snoqualmie Falls'. It was pretty dang neat. It was just this small town in the middle of nowhere with a neat waterfall, a GIANT tree stump, and a train. There's not much more to say about it. Except that we asked a fellow tourist to take our picture. He did so, and when we looked at the picture after, it was just a random close up of our faces. Apparently we needed to specifically say that we wanted the falls in it? Haha, why else would we want a picture taken?

We hopped back into the car and finished our commute to Seattle. Our first stop was the Space Needle. It was pretty great. When we scootered up the foot of the Space Needle, there was a GIANT line. We were afraid it was for the space needle, so I asked a couple people in line what it was for, and they said it was for 'Beerfest'. Hah, who knew? We arrived just in time. Also, In case you wanted to know, it was built to withstand a 9.5 earthquake and if you put it in the deepest part of the harbor, only the top five feet of the needle would stick out.

After that we went to the Science fiction museum. That would have been WAY awesome if I were really into Star Trek, E.T., Star Wars, and every other Sci Fi Novel to exist.

In the same building as that was the 'Experience Music Project'. It had a Jimmy Hendrix exhibit. Apparently he grew up in Seattle. It had a sculpture that was kind of like a tornado made out of at least 700 instruments, mostly guitars. Usually I'm a big appreciator of art, but this sculpture just felt like a huge waste to me. So many kids could be playing those instruments right now ... Instead they're all just glued together in the air.

The Experience Music project was basically just a museum of all the famous artists that came from Seattle. It also had a room filled with instruments that you could play and learn to use. I think we spent to most time in the gift shop, trying to decide if we should buy the 17.00 book called, "The best dance moves in the world ... EVER." Instead we just got matching keychains.

At around 10:30 we went to the 'Daft Punk Laser Show'. I can't even begin to explain how awesome awesome awesome this was. Worth the 8.50 and helped us to make the decision of going to the Muse Laser Show a couple days later. They were sooooo cool.

After that it was really late, so we drove to Bellevue where the temple was. We were going to sleep in the parking lot, but it looked a little scary, so instead we slept in the parking lot of an apartment complex nearby.

We woke up, drove the nearby gas station, changed out clothes, brushed our teeth, and headed off to look for a parade. We found none, so we went on the Harbor cruise tour. We got on a boat and it drove us around the harbor while to tour guy spilled out awesome facts about Seattle. Like how the waterfront park was built because one of the lady mayors was afraid the urban area was going to take up the whole city. So when she retired, they built a mile long park along the edge. Also, the first Starbucks EVER was built there and they owner wanted his employees to be fit, so he had exercise equipment in the building. Also, the worlds biggest giant octopus lives in that body of water ... or something like that.

After that ended we scootered up to the aquarium. It was pretty cool. I saw an Octopus for the first time. We touched starfish, urchins and enenime (spelling? pretty sure that's not even close). We saw sharks, sea lions, fish, jellyfish, seahorses, fish, and more fish.

Then we scootered to Pikes Place Farmer's Market. COOLEST PLACE EVER!!! It was just filled with all kinds of fish, some awesome fruit. Awesome stuff to buy. It was sooo cool. People everywhere. Street performers.

Then we went to 'Gasworks Park'. A serious anthill of people. SOOO many people. The fireworks were set off over lake Union. We had a pretty good spot at the top of the hill. We met and talked with a kid that went to The Art Institute of Seattle which is pretty cool. The fireworks would have been a lot better had we not been pushed aside by a drunk homeless guy that was trying to belt/sing along with the music. Then we walked at least 12 blocks uphill to get back to our car, then spent the next hour in traffic. We drove back to the same aparment complex and settled in for the night.

The next morning we went to the zoo. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. It was 92 acres and HUGE. It was awesome though, way better than SLC's. They confiscated our scooters from us at the beginning, so we actually had to walk around like regular people. That was rough. My feet were in PAIN.

After that we went to the Pacific Science Center. It was basically just a building with floors filled with science projects and awesome things to learn. We got a free IMAX movie with our 'City Passes' so we went to Animalopolis because it was basically our only choose due to time restraints. Lamest thing ever. I feel sorry for the people that paid for it It was just a bunch of shots of animals looped, forwarding and rewinding to make them look like they were dancing and singing and doing odd things. It was torture. I don't think the kids even liked it.

We had dinner at a shop on the pier. Got some gooooood clam chowder. Then went to the Muse laser show. So awesome! After that we went to the top of the space needle for a second time to get the night view. It was fun. Then we drove back to the parking lot that we made our home for three nights, and slept. This morning we woke up, went to the market again to buy a breakfast of fruit (the best white peach I've ever eaten. It was seriously like heaven-I'm talking Tree of Life fruit good.) and then drove home.

Probably the best road trip I've ever been on. Definitely the most extreme. We had CityPasses that were 50 bucks and got us into the Space Needle (Day and Night), harbor cruise tour, aquarium, experience music project & Science Fiction Museum, a bunch of stuff. Cost 50 bucks each, Saved us 50 bucks each. Seriously, if you're ever going to a city for a vacation, get the City Passes! Awesome deal! They're meant to last you 9 days, but Mandy and I managed to fit it all into 3. Extreme! Mandy has tan lines on her feet from her sandals and tan lines on her shoes from her socks. My body hurts and I'm dead tired. I feel soooo wonderful after just having showered after 3 1/2 days "
